Description
Electronic simulator of man-portable air defense system (MANPADS) "Igla" is designed to train the commander and the gunner in the rules of combat performance on MANPADS "Igla".
High quality of training is provided by full compliance with weighty dimensional characteristics, controls and visualization of the MANPADS "Igla" simulator and combat model.
Using virtual reality glasses with high precision position detectors allows maximum transfer of simulated environment and trainee actions.

The simulator allows to fulfil the following tasks:

Search and visual detection of air targets;

Choice of operation mode of onboard equipment of rocket flight control (target servicing on opposite course or pursuit course);
3
Determination of initial data for firing and choice of the right time for switching on the ground power supply;
4
Choice of operation mode of launching mechanism ("automatic" or "manual");
5
Sighting and target lock on by infrared homing device of a missile, quality assessment of lock on;
6
Determination of the right time for launching a missile when firing at nonweaving targets and targets that perform maneuvers (dive, nosing-up, by course and altitude).

The design of the instructor's workplace allows him to work via wireless channel with three MANPADS simulators removed from it up to 30 m.
The simulator provides for organizing the training of specialists according to the "instructor – gunner" scheme or according to the scheme "instructor – commander of the antiaircraft squad – gunner".
For individual training of gunners, the simulator is used by the scheme "instructor – gunner".
For combat coordination of air-defense division the simulator is used by the scheme "instructor – air-defense squad commander – gunner".
The design of the simulator provides the opportunity to integrate three simulators in one system for combat coordination of air defense missile platoon. The training of specialists is carried out by the scheme "instructor – air-defense platoon commander – air-defense squad commander – gunner".
Actions of gunner, air-defense squad and platoon are automatically evaluated and the results are displayed on the instructor's workplace and inspection head workplace.
The simulator provides for organizing the training of specialists according to the "instructor – gunner" scheme or according to the scheme "instructor – commander of the antiaircraft squad – gunner".

For combat coordination of air-defense division the simulator is used by the scheme "instructor – air-defense squad commander – gunner".
